My art journey began as a toddler on the kitchen floor, doodling on freezer paper. When I was about 10, my brother-in-law helped me with my first "real" painting, plein air style. I was hooked! Classes, workshops, art clubs, and online learning opportunities have all helped me along on my journey. I enjoy landscapes, as they take to me "on vacation" as I paint, and an occasional portrait or still life. I use acrylic paints in an oil-like fashion. I find them to be most versatile and quick drying. I use oils, too, especially when working on-location (plein air). The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the place I call home, is largely my inspiration. I hope that my work will be a blessing to others.
